"...As to the wines themselves, you'll find a few really lovely and highly recommended wines... The California stars in the 75+ producers that follow include, Ant Hill, Au Bon Climat, Emeritus, Eric-Kent, Etude, Flowers, Keller Estate, Lazy Creek Littorai."

2005 Pinot Noir - La Cruz Vineyard: Here there is a slightly deeper briar and blueberry component compared to the 2004 that leads to precise, intense and silky flavors that again deliver impressive balance and sneaky length.

2004 Pinot Noir - La Cruz Vineyard: An elegant and cool intense red raspberry and plum fruit nose introduces pure, refined and detailed middle weight flavors that possess fine balance and solid if not exceptional persistence. I really like the style here as it really is unusually sophisticated and the only nit holding this back is a lack of outstanding depth, which in fairness may come with time in bottle. Worth a look.

Keller Estate's wines have received numerous accolades from a variety of publications:

"A rich, elegant, stylish wine that shows how refined and delicate Chardonnay can be, offering subtle pear, hazelnut, honey, floral and spice notes that are supple and tightly focused."

-- Wine Spectator on the 2004 Precioso Chardonnay

"Take Keller's unoaked Chard, add some well-toasted new French oak, and you get this rich version. The oak stars, putting out buttered toast, crème brulee and vanilla spice flavors. Down under all that is a wealth of tropical fruit, peach and green apple flavors."

-- Wine Enthusiast on the 2004 La Cruz Vineyard Chardonnay

"Juicy and bright with fresh apple and citrus; racy, long and beautifully balanced with great style and pure flavors."

-- Wine Enthusiast on 2005 Oro de Plata

"This Pinot Noir is darn near perfect. The nose is sweet-scented with violets, crushed cherries and a hint of oak. It is soft as a down pillow and the flavors deliver the whole Pinot experience. Nicely balanced."

-- Decanter Magazine on 2003 La Cruz Vineyard Pinot Noir

"It's as naturally sweet as any dry white wine can be, filling your mouth with juicy stone-fruit and lychee flavors. It's also as bracing as any clean breeze, with grapefruit, mineral and spice qualities keeping the texture lively and your taste buds awake."

-- Apellation America on 2005 La Cruz Vineyard Pinot Gris
