2013 El Coro Pinot Noir
92 Points - Wine & Spirits
El Coro sits on the highest point of the Keller estate, at 500 feet of elevation on gravelly volcanic soil. The vines are constantly buffeted by cool Pacific winds rushing through the Petaluma Gap. In 2013, the site grew a powerful pinot noir with impressive balance, the deep, rich, alcohol-warmed sunniness of its raspberry-red fruit cooled by a taut line of acidity and savory conifer-bark aromas. There’s a compelling concentration of flavor here; its appetizing layers will become more discernable with another three or four years of age.st.
