Sitting at the ridgetop of the Estate, this vineyard's loam soils are very exposed to the Petaluma Gap wind. The twenty-acre Pinot Noir block is a jewel offering a trifecta of extraordinary complexity, delicate aromatics, and structured tannin.
The 2018 El Coro Pinot Noir shows an array of bright hibiscus, vanilla, damp earth, and dark cherry aromas. In the mouth, layers of classic flavors like black cherry, forest floor, and pomegranate encounter exhibits of red plum and cassis. The fine tannins are rounded out with a hint of cedar and cinnamon in the finish. There is a juxtaposition of intensity and delicacy with this wine.
